Berton Vineyard 'Reserve' Eden Valley Chardonnay 2009: Berton Vineyard 'Reserve' series essentially looks to pair different varieties with their optimal growing region. In this instance they have decided that the warm days / cool nights and dry summers / wet winters experienced in the Eden Valley (essentially the higher altitude extension of the Barossa) is perfect for growing Chardonnay. Expect generous aromas of white peach, vanilla and cinnamon; the palate is rich and toasty with peach, grapefruit and lime character, creamy,  broad texture and a nicely integrated oak on the finish - mmm!
