Beaujolais-Villages Ch. Lacarelle 2009: More class and a touch more alcohol than straight Beaujolais from this 300ha Estate; a refreshing, light red good for any occasion. A classic Gamay nose of 'bubblegum and banana' with abundant blueberry and ripe cherry flavours on the palate. Lacarelle is one of the oldest Estates in Beaujolais and has been continuously owned by the La Carelle family since the mid 17th Century.
