Bodegas Rioja Santiago Tinto Crianza 2005: From an outstanding vintage in Rioja, this blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha was aged in American oak for 12 months and then rested an additional 12 months in bottle in the cool, dark cellars in Haro. This is the second oldest Bodega in the town dating back to 1870, so it is perhaps not surprising that the style here is traditional with oaky, vanilla and toasty notes yet there is still plenty of red berry fruit to balance this out.
