The name Alkoomi is taken from the local aboriginal dialect and means "A place we chose".  Produced from the Cabernet and Merlot grapes grown on the gravelly loams soils of the Frankland River region of South Western Australia, this wine has aromas of mulberry, blood plum and cassis mixed with violets a hint of mint and spicy oak following through onto the palate, satin like tannins lead to a lingering finish of cassis and spicy oak.
