The name Alkoomi is taken from the local aboriginal dialect and means "A place we chose". Produced from the Shiraz grape with a small amount of Viognier to give an added touch of elegance and floral lift, grown on gravelly loam soils on the Frankland River region of South Western Australia. Aromas of violets and anise abound over toasty almond oak. The palate is full of ripe cherry and raspberry fruit , fine tannins intergrated with French Oak leading to a full and long finish.
